 Mountains and Ocean                 Natural Reforestation  

We welcome our guests to tour the property and discover our ongoing conservation and reforestation projects. We have established a sustainable forest management plan and a conservation program that will protect and improve the forest cover within the 500 hectare property. Our goals are to contribute to the regulation and maintenance of the existing water resources in this area, through the protection of our forest watershed areas. It is our goal to also help improve knowledge of forest ecosystem management and forest species of both flora and fauna in the area. Our forest area represents one of the few remaining forests in the province of Los Santos. Species such as: Hura crepitans (Sandbox tree), Cordia alliodora (Spanish Elm), Pachira quinata (cedar hawthorn), Tebebuia rosea (savannah oak) make our forest very unique. The existence of these species has a positive impact on groundwater and the micro-climate of the area.  They incorporate essential nutrients to the soil and provide an environment that is suitable for wildlife. Our forest is inhabited  with a variety of  animals including: the coatimundi (nasua narica), cotton tail rabbits (Sylvilagus brasiliensis), cotton-top tamarin monkeys (Saguinus Oedipus) sloths (Choloepus hoffmanni), howler monkeys (howeler manokey) and white tail deer."

Turtle Protection

During rainy season hundreds of turtles come to our beaches to nest. We monitor for human and animal activity year round to protect the nesting areas. Our staff will show you where the turtle nesting areas are located.  Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to see hundreds of baby sea turtles make their way from the nest to the Pacific Ocean for the first time.   

Whale + Dolphin Watching

Between the months of June to November, the The humpback whale is an enormous acrobatic animal that can often be seen breaching directly in front of the property. You can admire this spectacle from the comfort of the main house.

Howler Monkeys

Considered one of the loudest animals in the world, howler monkeys are abundant in the property. Experiencing their vocal power is a tremendous experience, and is certain to be a highlight of your stay.
